Alchimia

Alchimia, the Contemporary Jewelry and Design School, was founded in Florence in 1998 by Lucia Massei and Doris Maninger.

Placed in the historical district of San Frediano, this school is considered as an innovation and research laboratory in regards to modern jewelry, able to provide in the same time a deep goldsmith techniques traditional knowledge.

Each course, from the basic one up the most advanced ,will give students the possibility to acquire and work on much needed technical skills , to develop their expression and ideas and to elaborate their own artistic language.

Over the years several international awards have confirmed  the quality of this school’s teaching methods .

This school, directed since 2010 by the Dutch artist Ruudt Peters , offers wide spaces in Piazza Piatellina , only a few steps away to Carmine’s Church, physical synthesis between past and future.
